SMBootcamp LIVE—Online is a 7-week live, synchronous program built for acquisition entrepreneurs who are ready to commit to finding and buying a small business from anywhere in the country or around the world.
You get the same curriculum, the same Deal Team access, and the same cohort experience as our in-person LIVE—Tampa program, structured across a kickoff session, two full Training Days in Week 1, and 12 weekly sessions on Zoom. Every session is live. There are no recordings. This is a synchronous program and attendance is how you get the most out of it. Your cohort travels the whole journey with you.
Applications are reviewed individually. If we think you’re a fit, we’ll reach out to schedule a 30-minute call before extending an offer to join the cohort.
Kickoff: Early July 2026 · 7 weeks through mid-July · All sessions live on Zoom · Tue/Thu 1:00–2:30 PM ET / 10:00–11:30 AM PT
Start fast. Week 1 opens with a Tuesday kickoff (1:00–2:30 PM ET), then two full Training Days on Thursday and Friday, 11 AM–5 PM ET. You’ll cover deal sourcing and screening, valuation, how to write a competitive LOI, and SBA 7(a) financing, with live instruction from Sam Rosati, Jackie Hirsch (business broker), and Bruce Marks (SBA lender). Pre-work is expected: review the DIY Essentials library and complete the financial modeling case study before Kickoff.
Go deeper on structure and diligence. Asset vs. stock sale, M&A tax implications, legal due diligence, and Quality of Earnings, with live guest sessions from SMB Law Group and Hollywell Partners. Sessions run Tue/Thu, 1:00–2:30 PM ET.
Learn how the SBA lender network actually works with Drew Eckman (SMB Loan Support), then hear from three alumni CEOs who’ve closed deals. Real acquisition journeys, end-to-end, with live Q&A. This is where the curriculum becomes real.
Week 6 covers investor equity raising: how to structure the raise, build your investor deck, and negotiate terms with friends & family, angels, and search-specific funds.
Week 7 features a live deal review with a real deal from the cohort, complete with full group debrief and instructor feedback. Then a complete wrap-up with the full Deal Team, key takeaways, and your clear path forward.
Our Deal Team is a curated group of vetted specialists (one firm per category) that Sam uses personally for his own acquisitions. You meet them live during LIVE—Online, and when you go under LOI, you're calling someone who already knows you. They all offer preferred pricing and/or deferred fee structures to our community members.

SMBootcamp was an incredible experience. It’s a BOOTCAMP in the true sense — 3 days in-person with other searchers, learning how to structure deals, broker contact to capital raise. It’s put on by experienced operators doing actual deals in the marketplace. No fluff, just actionable advice. If you’re serious about putting a deal together that will close, look no further.
- Brian Watson, LIVE—Tampa (#19) alumnus
Sam, Drew, and Matt do a fantastic job structuring the curriculum to walk you through the acquisition process end to end — from sourcing deals to evaluating them to closing. They don’t sugarcoat it either: you get an honest picture of how difficult and time-consuming the process can be. I walked away with a clear framework and practical templates I’ve actually put to use. For anyone serious about buying a small business, I can’t recommend it enough.

Both programs deliver the same curriculum, the same instructors, and the same Deal Team introductions. The only difference is format. Choose based on how you learn best, not because one is better than the other.
